Default quick question about runes

Can I put runes in armor that is not of the same type? I'm ele and I have different types of armor, so instead of getting a +60 bonus vs. fire I have a +15 bonus vs. all elements. Can I put a fire based run into an air based robe or geo based gloves?

yes. it doesnt mater what armor type you have on. all that matters is that the rune is a rune of your proffesions primary class.

you can put any type of rune on any type of armor, as long as the rune is for your primary profession. However the thing to keep in mind here is that you are not getting an armor bonus with runes, you are getting an attribute bonus so that your skills work better.

That's what I want... but I just didn't want to get air armor (for the +15 vs. air) and then try to put a +fire rune in it and find out that I wasted XXplat on armor I can't upgrade. Thanks
